(Audubon) The Audubon School Board approved their three-year Building & Grounds Plan Monday night.
Audubon Superintendent Brett Gibbs said the big project is obviously the remodeling of the interior at the elementary school next summer, but they have other items that need addressed as well.
“It’s time for us to replace a bus so we’ll start looking at local bus companies and look at their products and determine what type of bus is going to best fit our needs,” explained Gibbs. “We also have plans to upgrade our athletic facilities. The school has some money that we would earmark for that project, but we’re also looking to work with the local boosters club, alumni, there will be some fundraising involved with that, but we’re looking to upgrade our softball, baseball, and football facilities in particular. This summer coming up, as a matter of fact, we’re working with the local tennis association to redo our tennis courts. So we have some projects going along those lines as well.”
Gibbs said there are also some other mundane projects that need to be done to continue to maintain the facilities.
