(State) The mega-millions jackpot tonight has been increased again and now stands at $586 Million. Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich says the game has already produced a lot of winners in the state, without anyone claiming the jackpot.
“It’s often good in these big jackpots do office pools and then you can get a bunch of people together and cover more numbers rather than spend a bunch of money out of your bank account. The other on is pop can money. A lot of people use that to get a buck or two to play and remember mega-millions is only a buck.”
Rich says the Iowa Lottery is going to have a good problem to have if the jackpot rolls over two more times and hits a billion dollars. Billboards around the state are only capable of handling six figure jackpots, not seven.
