(Atlantic) The Atlantic Park and Recreation Department is looking into purchasing a trail cam to find out who is 4-wheeling in Sunnyside Park.
Atlantic Park and Rec. Director Roger Herring wants to public to know that he is thankful for their cooperation with the closing of the Sunnyside Park road and he said the public should know that the park is still open to walking, sledding, cross country skiing, disc golf, etc. and there is parking available on Sunnyside Drive.
However, he emphasized that there should be no 4-wheeling. Herring told the Park and Rec. Board Monday night that someone has been 4-wheeling on the grass and they are working on trying to find out who is doing that.
“We have talked about the possibility of the Park Department purchasing a trail cam and putting it in a strategic spot,” said Herring. “I don’t know what time of day they’re doing it but they’re doing it in the same spot so we can set up a trail cam, see if we can get a picture of them and take care of them that way.”
The Park and Rec. Board agreed the purchase of a trail cam would be a good idea because they could also use it in areas like the Schildberg Recreation area where they have had vandalism.
