(Audubon) An Avoca woman suffered minor injuries in a two vehicle accident in Audubon County Saturday.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred near 220th Street and Falcon Avenue at around 11:00 a.m. 20-year-old Cole Richard Burns, of Crescent, was parked westbound in the roadway west of the intersection near a hillcrest. 42-year-old Cherry Michelle Budd, of Avoca, was traveling westbound on 220th Street and crested the hill at the intersection and was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of Burns’ vehicle.
Budd was transported to the Audubon hospital by Audubon Fire and Rescue with minor injuries. Burns was charged with Stopping on the Travel Portion of the Roadway.
The damage to Burns’ 2005 Dodge was estimated at $3,000. The damage to Budd’s 1999 Pontiac was estimated at $3,000.
