LANE RESTRICTIONS ON US 6 NEAR COUNCIL BLUFFS BEGIN JUNE 1ST
(COUNCIL BLUFFS) Bridge painting work will cause lane restrictions on U.S. 6 between Iowa 192 and Interstate 80 near Council Bluffs beginning Wednesday, June 1, weather permitting.
The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Council Bluffs construction office says the first phase of the bridge painting will cause traffic on the westbound U.S. 6 bridge to be restricted to one lane for approximately three weeks. After phase one is completed, the contractor will start the second phase of this project June 22 causing traffic on the eastbound U.S. 6 bridge to be restricted to one lane. The painting project is expected to be completed by mid-July, weather permitting.
