(Woodbine) The Woodbine Police Department is investigating a strong-armed robbery at a Woodbine business Sunday afternoon.
Woodbine Police Chief Gary Dull says it happened at around 12:45 p.m. at C & M Machine in the 300 block of Lincolnway Street.
Dull says two men wearing masks and dressed in black, walked into the business and demanded money. When they didn’t get any money a struggle ensued with the business owner. One of the suspects was struck in the face and may have also suffered a dislocated knee.
The two men fled from the business northbound on Lincolnway in a vehicle described as a small black older model, Ford, Bronco II. The two men described as 5’10”, 160 pounds and they spoke in Spanish to each other. No weapons were used or otherwise displayed in this crime.
The city of Woodbine Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying suspects in this crime. If anyone has information, please call the police department at (712) -647-2345.
