The mother of one of the Evansdale girls who disappeared last year and later found dead has been arrested on drug and other charges.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says it concluded an investigation Monday afternoon with the arrest of 36-year-old Misty Morrisey of West Union and 35-year-old Todd Henricksen. It was Morrisey’s daughter, Lyric Cook Morrisey, who vanished with her cousin Elizabeth Collins in July of last year. Both girls were found dead last December. Morrisey has been charged with two counts of delivery of crystal meth, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and ongoing criminal conduct. Henricksen is facing similar charges.
The Sheriff’s Department says a search of their home Monday revealed a large amount of cash, drugs, digital scales, packaging and evidence showing the distribution of controlled substances.
