ATLANTIC CITY COUNCIL APPROVES FIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council approved 2-million-678-thousand-820-dollars worth of Capital Improvement projects at Wednesday night’s meeting.
Godberson-Smith was the low bidder on the 2011 P.C.C. Paving and Storm Sewer Improvement project for 1-million-499-thousand-604-dollars and 28-cents. Carley Construction of Treynor was awarded the 2011 H.M.A. Paving and Storm Sewer Improvement Project for the lowest bid of 709-thousand-900-dollars.
Three other projects were also approved including; the Sunnyside Park Road Resurfacing and Parking Improvement, Bull Creek Pathway Resurfacing and City Park Sidewalk Repair Project.
Western Engineering was awarded the Sunnyside Park Road Resurfacing and Parking Improvement for 363-thousand-580-dollars. Henningsen Construction was low bidder on the Bull Creek project for 78-thousand-39-dollars, and Betts and Beer Construction presented the low bid of 27-thousand-697-dollars for the Atlantic City Park Sidewalk Repair Project.
The Council passed the five projects by a 6-1 vote. Councilman Kern Miller voted no on each of the projects.
