EHK SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES PARKING LOT EXPANSION PROJECT
(Elk Horn) The Elk Horn-Kimballton School Board approved a bid to expand the schools parking lot at Monday’s meeting. Exira/EHK Schools Superintendent Dean Schnoes says the project includes approximately 60 new parking spots in a section of the sports complex near the baseball field.
“There had been a concern about the parking area around the Elk Horn-Kimballton School building when they added on the new gym and for the last few years they’ve been talking about different ideas of what to do,” said Schnoes.
And, with the addition to Exira’s 9th through 12th grade students, this could possibly increase the number of vehicles needing a parking spot.
“We also know that from activities that we have, there is not a whole lot of parking until you start parking down the street,” said Schnoes.
Schnoes says Specialty Concrete came in with the low bid of $93,200.00.
