THREE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN PAGE COUNTY
(SHENANDOAH) Three people were sent to the hospital following a three vehicle accident in Page County Thursday afternoon.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office says three vehicles were eastbound on Highway 2 when the accident occurred. 50-year-old Julie Baxter of Shenandoah was driving a 2008 Toyota Prius stopped at the intersection of A. Avenue with the signal on waiting to turn north. 55-year-old Teresa Jackson of Clarinda was driving a 2007 Pontiac Vibe and stopped behind Baxter’s vehicle. 59-year-old Patrick Whipple of Shenandoah, who was driving a 2007 Ford Taurus, became distracted and failed to notice the stopped vehicles in front of him.
All three drivers were transported to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital by Shenandoah Rescue for possible injuries.
