GRANT FUNDS AWARDED FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN LOESS HILLS REGION
(COUNCIL BLUFFS) The Loess Hills Alliance Economic Development Committee is awarding $1,245 to the Pottawattamie County Conservation Board to advertise rental opportunities for the Hitchcock Nature Center Lodge.
The committee is also awarding $4,000 to the Living Loess Association to cooperatively promote and advertise 8 specialty businesses in Harrison and Pottawattamie counties. The businesses include an art studio, goat cheese creamery, woodworking shop, aronia berry farm, restaurant, Hitchcock Nature Center and Harrison County Welcome Center.
The association is working to attract 3,000 additional visitors to improve business sales.
