NUMEROUS INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED FOLLOWING EXECUTION OF SEARCH WARRANT
(HARLAN) The Harlan Police Department arrested numerous individuals when officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant on April 30th.
According to the police report, the warrant for 25-year-old Zachary Scheffler of Harlan stemmed from the domestic abuse and criminal mischief charges from earlier in the week. As a result of their investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence at 1708 9th Street.
Four people were charged with interference with official acts and gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used. They include 19-year-old Kolten Kobold of Kirkman, 28-year-old Michael Gifford, 19-year-old Brandon Barnum, and 17-year-old Dylan Hansen, all of Harlan. In addition, 17-year-old Emily Boeck of Harlan was charged with interference with official acts and Zachary Scheffler was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited acts penalties, interference with official acts, and gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used.
Scheffler, Gifford, Barnum and Kobold were transported to the Shelby County Jail. Boeck and Hansen were cited and released to the custody of their parents. Scheffler was also served with the warrant for domestic abuse assault and criminal mischief.
