TWO INJURED IN HARRISON COUNTY ACCIDENT
(MODALE) Two people were transported to the hospital following a single vehicle accident in Harrison County this (Thursday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says at around 4:30 a.m. 49-year-old Phillip Berten of Omaha was driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata southbound on I-29 and approached the bridge over K45. Berten lost control and struck the bridge rail. The vehicle slid down the bridge making contact with the bridge rail several times. Berten and a passenger, 21-year-old Dakota Beadle, were transported to Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley by Mondamin Rescue for minor injuries.
Berten was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
