SUPERVISORS APPROVE BUCK CREEK ROAD PROJECT
(ATLANTIC) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved a contract with Sta-Bilt Construction Company for a reconstruction project on Buck Creek Road at their meeting this morning.
Rich Hansen, Assistant to the County Engineer, said the cost of the project is $4,800.
“We’re starting just south of the railroad tracks and we’ll come within 50 to 100 feet of the bridge down there and we’ll just tear it all up and just blade it as a rock road, add some rock to it,” said Hansen.
A completion date for the project is set for May 28th.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the first reading of the Cass County Rural Addressing Ordinance. The purpose of the ordinance is to provide for an orderly street and address system, based upon established zero origin base lines and a minimum interval, in feet, to be used hereafter to assign addresses in order to promote the convenience, safety and general welfare of the unincorporated areas of Cass County. The Supervisors changed some of the language to state that the reflective sheeting shall be High Intensity grade background with white letters in compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
