ATLANTIC EASTER EGG HUNT APRIL 23RD
(ATLANTIC) An Easter Egg Hunt will be held for Atlantic children on April 23rd at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center.
Kellie Jimmerson, Administrator of Atlantic Nursing and Rehab, says a fire truck will bring the Easter Bunny to the Center and the fire truck will sound the siren to start the hunt promptly at 10:30 a.m.
“We expect probably around 1,000 people to show up, that’s what showed up last time we had it,” said Jimmerson. “We have over 15,000 eggs and those eggs go in a matter of minutes.”
Jimmerson said there will be a number of prizes awarded including 8 bicycles and 6 helmets.
The Easter Egg Hunt is open to children up to age 12.
“We break into four age groups, so therefore you may want to bring plenty of adults because there are four different sections of our yard that we break into,” said Jimmerson. “So, allow plenty of time and come on out and have a good time.”
Jimmerson encourages residents to park at the high school. SWIPCO will be providing transportation from there. Hot dogs, chips and pop will be provided at the Easter Egg Hunt as well.
