AUDUBON COUNTY SUPERVISORS DISCUSS REPRECINCTING
(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors has begun discussion on possible reprecincting in the county. Supervisors chair Todd Nelson says board is discussing reprecincting as a way to save money during elections. More precincts means more ballots that have to be printed. Audubon County currently has four precincts, but with the current population, that number could be reduced. The board has discussed having either three or two precincts. 3,500 people is the maximum number for one precinct. Nelson adds that a change in precincts would have to be approved at the city level before any changes can be made with the county.
