HARLAN POLICE REPORT
(HARLAN) The Harlan Police Department reports four arrests.
On April 1st, 19-year-old Winston Leal of Harlan was arrested on a Shelby county warrant for violation of a no contact order. He was transported to the Cass County Jail.
Also on April 1st, 21-year-old Kyle Reeder of Harlan and 17-year-old Jenine Porter of Des Moines were arrested following a disturbance at 702 Chatburn Avenue. Reeder was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with providing alcohol to a person under legal age. Porter was cited for minor in possession and released to the custody of her parents.
On April 2nd, 39-year-old Alan Hill of Portsmouth was arrested following a traffic stop and charged with operating while intoxicated and careless driving.
On April 6th, 56-year-old David Turner of Audubon was arrested following a traffic stop and charged with operating while intoxicated 2nd offense, failure to show proof of insurance, driving without a valid driver’s license and fraudulent use of registration.
The Harlan Police Department is also investigating numerous criminal mischief reports between March 24th through April 1st. The reports include the 1100 block of Willow, 1400 block of Grand Ave., the 1600 block of 9th Street, the 1100 block of 10th Street, and the 600 block of Spring Street. Police are following up on tips and all of the cases remain under investigation.
