(Des Moines) Starting this fall there is going to be a huge price jump in regular gasoline. Monte Shaw with the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association says this makes every grade of ethanol blend a bargain.
"You typically see about a 10-13 cent spread between the E-10 fule that most Iowans buy and the more expensive gasoline without ethanol. What that report showed is that the spread is looking to go to 30 cents or maybe even as high as 52 cents."
He says this would make E-15 the most inexpensive fuel at the pumps and may encourage more retailers to install the E-15 pumps.
