(Atlantic) Some much needed rainfall is in the forecast for this area today and tomorrow morning.
According to DTN, there is a 60-percent chance of scattered thunderstorms later this afternoon with a high in the lower 80’s. Thunderstorms are likely tonight and last through the early morning hours Friday with a low in the lower 60’s. The chance of rain over night stands at 70-percent, and a 20-percent tomorrow morning.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines says there is a chance for severe weather in northwest Iowa today between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. before heading southeast into our region. However, the chance of severe weather in our neck of the woods is low at this time.
After that Friday and Saturday will be dry with highs in the mid-70’s., with additional thunderstorms forecast for this area Sunday night through Wednesday.
