MALVERN MAN FOUND GUILTY ON SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES
(GLENWOOD) A Malvern man, arrested on sexual abuse charges in Mills County March 4th, was found guilty today.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Kenneth Edward Carver was arrested for 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse and two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child. Carver was accused of having committed sexual acts with two girls, one under the age of 10 and the other under the age of 14. The abuse took place not only in Malvern, but in several other locations for several years.
The investigation was headed by Sgt. Kim Clark of the Mills County Sheriff’s Office and the matter was prosecuted by the Mills County Attorney’s Office with aide of Assistant Attorney General Susan Krisko. After a four day trial to a jury, the jury returned a verdict of guilty on all counts today (Friday).
Sentencing has been set for May 17th at the Mills County Courthouse. Carver could face between 25 and 45 years in prison. He remains in custody at this time.
