CASS COUNTY HEALTH FAIR
(ATLANTIC) The Cass County Health System Health Fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 31st from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cass County Memorial Hospital Atrium.
Community Health Coordinator Denise Coder says there will be more than 25 educational booths and health screenings available.
“Blood pressure, spirometry; which measures the function of the lungs to see what your lung capacity is, diabetes screenings, glucose finger stick checks, and then we’ll have lots and lots of educational booths both from our departments here at the hospital and also some of the community non-profits that also serve our residents,” said Coder.
Coder said the most important station to visit at the end of your time at the health fair is the summary and referral station.
“You’ll take all of the information with you to the summary and referral station that you’ve collected about your results from your health screenings and you’ll get to sit down with a clinician and just visit about what your results were and then maybe make some goals and some health improvement strategies to make improvements in your health,” said Coder.
The Health Fair is free to the public.
