(DES MOINES) The Des Moines Register says the fired Iowa investigator who complained about the Governor’s speeding vehicle in April doesn’t think the punishment fits the act.
“100 percent that had the press not gotten involved and gotten a copy of that video, there is no way that would have ever been investigated, even in spite of the fact that I made a complaint, that wasn’t going any place,” said Hedlund.
Iowa DCI Special Agent in Charge Larry Hedlund told the Des Moines Register that his credibility has been severely damaged and will impact his ability to get a new job.
“I don’t work on cars, I don’t build houses, I investigate things and I testify about what I investigate and if my credibility is damaged by these allegations that destroys or damages my credibility. That is the only skill I have,” said Hedlund.
Hedlund says he plans to sue the State.
