NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORTS NUMEROUS TORNADOES DURING TUESDAY’S STORM
(Des Moines) The National Weather Service in Des Moines will be assessing damage today following Tuesday’s early spring storm. Miles Schumacher, Meteorologist from the National Weather Service says there were possibly four or five tornadoes in the state.

Weather Service will be doing some surveys in those areas today. Schumacher says a tornado ripped the roof off a home in Madison County and two other farmsteads in that county sustained damaged during the storm.
The storm started in southeast Nebraska and cruised through southwest Iowa into Adair, Union, and Madison Counties late Tuesday afternoon.
