(Shenandoah) Two people were hurt a two-vehicle accident in Page County Monday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 59 and Highway 2. According to the report; 61-year-old Marthelia Janeen Harper was driving a 1996 MX 6 Mazda southbound on Highway 59 approaching the Highway 2 intersection. Harper turned left on Highway 2 in front of a northbound 2003 Maxima driven by 50-year-old Teresa Lynn Isenhower-Moyer, of Essex. Isenhower-Moyers’ car struck the right front corner of Harper’s vehicle causing it to spin in a counter-clockwise manner. It came to rest in the northbound lane of Highway 59. Isenhower-Moyer’s car went into the northeast ditch of the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 59.
Harper was transported by Mercy One Clarinda to Creighton University Hospital in Omaha. Isenhower-Moyer was taken to the Shenandoah Hospital by Shenandoah Rescue.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
