(ATLANTIC) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved an additional 30,000 gallon anhydrous tank to be placed on Steinbeck & Sons property at their meeting this morning.
Tim Steinbeck told the Supervisors that they currently have 12,000, 18,000 and 30,000 gallon tanks and they need an additional one due to the demand from customers.
“Farmers are faster and quicker with anhydrous and we need to be able to keep up with them, so to do that we feel like we need to add more storage and keep all the farmers happy; that’s our number one goal,” explained Steinbeck.
Steinbeck said they abide by the Department of Agriculture rules and he had to get approval from the County before moving forward. Steinbeck & Sons is located about 6 miles east of Griswold.
In other activity, Dave Hancock informed the Supervisors that the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War are hosting a rededication ceremony at the Civil War Monument in the Atlantic City Park at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 13th.
