(Des Moines) Matt Whitaker, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, today announced that he raised $110,506 for the quarter that ended on June 30th. Whitaker entered the race on June 3rd, leaving him only 27 days to raise funds for the campaign.
“Whitaker says it’s very humbling to have this kind of support in such a short period of time. He adds that this is going to be an expensive campaign and we will use these resources to help take his message to Iowans.”
Additionally, Whitaker had 134 donors from Iowa, representing 78% of his donors. Whitaker has kicked off a Farm Listening Tour in July and will attend a fundraising event in Washington with Senator Grassley on July 23rd.
