(WALNUT) The Walnut City Council will meet tonight.
According to the agenda, the City Council will discuss a possible Streetscape Enhancement Project.
A request for financial participation in residential sidewalk replacement is also on the agenda. Terry Abel, Walnut City Clerk, said this is an item that they put on the agenda every summer. She said the City will reimburse property owners $5 per foot when they replace public sidewalks. The City Council pays up to $5,000 per fiscal year for that program.
Another ongoing program that the City Council will discuss Wednesday night is the Housing Rehabilitation program. Abel said residents can apply for housing rehab assistance through a CDBG grant and that is based on income.
The Walnut City Council will also act on the acceptance of the resignation of Zoning Administrator Bob Martens and appoint Tim Branan as a replacement Zoning Administrator.
Several policies are also set to be approved at Wednesday’s meeting.
The Walnut City Council meeting begins at 5:00 p.m.
