(ATLANTIC) The Atlantic Jaycees will host their annual flight breakfast and fireworks show at the Atlantic Airport on Thursday, July 4th.
“The Flight Breakfast runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Airport. It is $6 for a plate of all you can eat pancakes and sausage and a drink,” said Brad Peerbolte, Jaycees Vice President. “We also have special guests; the A-26 Lady Liberty Bomber is going to be flying in and doing some demonstration flights, as well as the P-51 “Big Beautiful doll”. So, you can come out see some World War II era planes. We also have a lot of private planes coming and a lot of aviation enthusiasts will be out and around and you can talk to them.”
Peerbolte says there are a number of events lined up for the evening as well.
“We have some bounce houses for the kids, DJ music, the Kiwanis club of Atlantic will be selling concessions and that all starts at 6:00 p.m.,” said Peerbolte. “So you can come out a little early, hang out with the family, enjoy some music, and then the fireworks go off at dusk.”
The Atlantic Jaycees Flight Breakfast and Fireworks are community supported events. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 522 in Atlantic, care of the Atlantic Jaycees. Donation boxes will also be set up at the airport during the flight breakfast and fireworks.
