(Charles City) – Two Charles City residents survived an unplanned trip over a dam on the Cedar River Saturday evening.
According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, 25 year old, Ryan Fisher was driving his pontoon when all of a sudden the pontoon lost power and floated over the dam. Fisher and his passenger were rescued unharmed by the Charles City Fire Department from a downstream bridge pillar. Neither of the men were wearing a life at the time.
The incident still remains under investigation by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
