(OAKLAND) Some minor changes are underway at Keith’s Standard Auto Service in Oakland.
Keith’s Standard Auto Service is a family run business that Keith Rattenborg opened in 1969. Keith’s daughter, Jolaine Mills, said they recently decided to change from the Conoco brand to Sinclair. Mills said this decision was made to better serve their customers.
“The big thing about Sinclair is we can still offer these really good fuels, top quality tier fuels, for everybody. The prices should be a little bit better. And, they also have some awesome credit programs which really drew us in that benefit us and we can turn around and benefit the customer,” said Jolaine Mills. “If they sign up for the one credit card program with us it will get a competitive discount when they pay for it underneath what’s advertised at the sign, especially if they’re signed up with us and they’re a loyal customer and they’re using our card.”
Jolaine said Keith’s Standard Auto Service will still provide the same quality service in their convenience store and auto repair shop. The only major change is that customers are no longer able to use their Conoco cards.
Jolaine also wanted to mention that they are part of a collaborative effort to raise money for a local girl who is battling some health issues.
“It’s called Livi’s fuel friends. People can come in and they can donate money to a special fund that we’ve got set up and we’ve got some little fliers and cards set up that they can sign that we’re going to take over there,” explained Jolaine Mills. “We’re absorbing all the costs of it. 100 percent of the donations are going to go to the Gordon family so that they will have a little bit of comfort knowing that they can get back and forth to see this little girl over in Omaha because she has been there for awhile and she might be there for awhile so we want to keep that family together as much as we can.”
Keith’s Standard Auto Service is located at 408 Dr. Van Zee Road in Oakland.
