(Harlan) - The Harlan Community School Board has just approved a contract for a new driver’s education program. Superintendent Justin Wagner said the company called “Drive Safely”, owned by Bill Hosack and Jim Bruck, had a bid come at $280 per credit hour.
“They are going to be coming in at $280 per credit; which is a cost saving for the parents and kids,” proclaimed Wagner. “When the district had it, almost eighteen months ago, it was going to be $385. This program we have now, is a lot of one hundred dollar savings.”
The company DEST used to own the driver’s education program. Wagner thought that this company had done a great job, but they did not submit a bid this time around.
