(ATLANTIC) With flood waters threatening the Little League fields north of town, officials are quickly taking action to move things to higher ground.
Chris Jimmerson, Vice President of the Little League, said they are moving everything from the lower level of the concession stands to the second level.
“Usually if we get enough rain all the fields will go under water and we’re just trying to pick stuff up and get it out of the way,” said Jimmerson. “We’re getting the banners off of the fences and trying to get all of our concession stuff up above so it doesn’t cost us nearly as bad if it does flood.”
The parking lots surrounding the fields are already starting to fill with flood waters and standing rain waters.
