(Des Moines) The National Weather Service has replaced the Flash Flood Warning for northeastern Cass and southeastern Audubon Counties with a Flash Flood Watch.
Forecasters say the Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 4:00 p.m. for south central Iowa, southwest Iowa and west central Iowa, including the counties of Adair, Cass, Audubon, Carroll, Crawford and Guthrie.
The weather service says storms will move across central Iowa, especially south of Highway 20 this morning. A second round of storms will be located more north to south later this morning and afternoon, but will move across the general area.
Rainfall amounts of one-to-two inches an hour are likely with these storms.
