(Elk Horn) Members of the Exira and Elk Horn-Kimballton’s School District will have a smoother path between schools this fall. Superintendent Dean Schnoes says road crews have been busy repairing County Highway F58 that runs between the two districts.
“They are repairing all the boil spots in the road and resurfacing it from the Exira corner west to Elk Horn where it meets up with Shelby County, Stated Schnoes. “They have done a great job helping me out especially this past winter, with road conditions because they know there is a lot of traffic going back and forth on that highway.”
And one week from today, June 25, Exira and Elk Horn-Kimballton School District Patrons will be going to the polls to decide whether or not the two districts should reorganize into one.
The polls will be open from noon-to-8:00 p.m. Elk Horn-Kimballton School District voters will cast their ballots at the school. Those living in the Exira School District will vote at the Exira Rec. Center.
