(Crescent) Two people were injured in a deer/motorcycle accident in Pottawattamie County early this morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 37-year-old Jeffrey Allen Walker and 36-year-old Megan Sue Walker were both transported by Crescent Rescue to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
It happened at around 1:10 a.m., Jeffrey Allen Walker was driving southbound on Interstate 29 at the 60 mile marker when a deer entered the roadway from the median. Walker wasn’t able to avoid the deer and had to lay the motorcycle down. His passenger, Megan Sue Walker was thrown from the bike and sustained minor injuries. Jeffrey Walker was pinned underneath the motorcycle but was freed without mechanical means.
Both occupants were wearing helmets.
