(Omaha) An Emerson Iowa man was charged Wednesday with felony theft by deception for allegedly conspiring with an employee to rob an Omaha Kum & Go Store on May 27.
The Omaha World Herald says 24-year-old Cody Hudson allegedly took more than $3,600 in cash from the store. His bail is set at $15,000.00.
Police allege that the employee told them that he mentioned to Hudson that the safe was left open and there was a lot of cash inside. According to Video cameras and text messages they both planned and executed the robbery.
A large amount of cash was found inside the employee’s car. The employee whose name was not available was booked into jail on May 30, but there had been no formal charges levied against him as of Wednesday.
