(Des Moines) A survey conducted by a National Employment firm indicates a robust job market across the state in the coming months.
Manpower Employment Services questioned employers for their expectations from now through the end of August and 27-percent said they would be hiring more people. Six-percent expected to decrease the size of their staff. That compares with 25-percent who were hiring for the quarter ending May 31 and four-percent who were letting people go.
For the most part there is no change across the state. A number of job categories are expected to show signs of hiring while transportation utilities, education and health services planned reductions.
The survey notes a slight decline in hiring intentions for the next three months compared to the same period a year ago.
