MISSING JUVENILE FOUND EARLY THIS MORNING
(Elk Horn) A missing Elk Horn juvenile is home safe.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says Dylan Michael Jager crawled out of his bedroom window following a verbal argument with his father. Brian Jager noticed his son was missing at 11:30 p.m., and the Sheriff’s Office was notified just after midnight Monday.
Brian Jager told authorities that he woke up at around 11:30 p.m. and went into Dylan’s room and discovered that he had exited the house through a bedroom window.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office began to search for the missing teen but when they could not find him, they called for assistance from the Audubon Police Department, Audubon County Sheriff’s Office, and Cass County Deputy Kyle Quist and K-9 Cane.
Just as Deputy Quist arrived several hours later, the boy got into his parents car about a mile south of the K-9’s location. Shelby County Community Communications was made aware that the juvenile was located and the missing person BOLO was canceled.
The case is closed and no charges will be filed.
