(CARSON) Mayhem in the Manor will take place at the Carson Community Center June 14th and 15th.
This original play is written by Wilma Laughlin. Laughlin said this is a light hearted dinner theatre about old Super Heroes living in one wing of a retirement home while their arch nemesis live in the other wing. Something is amiss as plans to take control of the nursing home are in the works.
“It’s definitely something that would be worth seeing,” said Laughlin. “If you enjoyed all the old super heroes in your time with Batman, Spiderman and Popeye and Brutus and those guys, it’s a lot of fun.”
Proceeds from the Dinner Theatre will be used for an electronic message board to be installed on Highway 92.
“Our old sign is just kind of falling apart, it was a manual board where you put the letters up, so they wanted to update it and put a new digital electronic sign up,” explained Laughlin.
Doors at the Carson Community Center open at 6 p.m. each night with the play beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Carson American Legion will sell refreshments. Tickets are $27 each. Tickets are available at Carson City Hall, The Permanent Solution, Rolling Hills Bank & Trust, and in Oakland at Janell’s Hair Design and Riverside Optical.
