(Denison) The Crawford County Board of Supervisor’s approved an ordinance last week that penalizes adults who knowingly provide a venue for underage drinking.
According to the Omaha World Herald, the Supervisor’s approved the Social Host ordinance. Through three public hearings there were no objections.
According to the new ordinance, first time offenders would be fined $750.00. The fine rises to $1,000 for repeat offenses.
The ordinance is set to go into effect July 1. This gives law enforcement time to educate local law enforcement and the public on the details of the ordinance.
