(Des Moines) A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Northern Guthrie and Greene County until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service says Emergency Management reported that flash flooding has been occurring in Scranton.
Excessive run off from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, county roads, as well as farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.
Most flood related deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to cross bridges, dips, or other low spots if water covers the roadway. Never try to cross a flowing stream even a small one on foot or in a vehicle.
