(Red Oak) A Page County woman faces numerous traffic charges after leading law enforcement on a pursuit in north central Montgomery County early this (Monday) morning.
According to a press release from the Red Oak Police Department, 22-year-old Justine Sheree Powers of College Springs is charged with Driving While under Revocation, Attempting to Elude a Pursuing Vehicle, Interference with Official Acts, and numerous traffic violations.
Red Oak Police attempted to stop Powers on 200th Street at around 1:00 a.m. Powers, who was driving a 1994 Buick Regal, fled the scene in her vehicle and led law enforcement on a pursuit into north central Montgomery County. Powers turned around in front of the Police cruiser causing both vehicles to collide, causing minor damage to both the vehicles.
A short time later Powers stopped the car near the driveway of a residence on 140th Street. Police arrested Powers and transported her to the Montgomery County Jail where she is awaiting an appearance in front of a Judicial Magistrate.
Through the course of the investigation the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Robin Clark Latham at 2383 140 Street on charges of Failure to Appear and Failure to pay Child Support. Latham was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
The Red Oak Police Department was assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Cass County Sheriffs’ Office.
