(Omaha) The American Red Cross is sponsoring a free program to train people to become disaster volunteers.
According to the Omaha World Herald, the Nebraska and Southwest Iowa region says the training sessions have been offered after receiving calls from people wanting to help with tornado relief in Oklahoma.
The program will instruct volunteers how to be prepared for situations ranging from natural disasters to house fires. The sessions run from Tuesday through Saturday.
Those interested can register by calling 402-343-7700.
