(Greenfield) The 2013 Iowa Legislative Session is officially adjourned. The Iowa House adjourned Thursday morning and the Senate got its work done for the year shortly before midnight.
Greenfield Republican Representative Clel Baudler says law makers left the Capitol with the state in good economic health.
“We got a lot accomplished,” stated Baudler. “And we didn’t go out of our budget limitations.”
Baudler says the states Rainy Day Fund was left with around $640-million and the Tax Payer fund has around $660-million in it.
“We just have to make sure we don’t get stupid, and start spending more that we take in,” said Baudler.
Baudler says lawmakers have been very frugal with Iowa tax payer’s money.
