(Exira) Three teens were hurt in a single-vehicle accident near Exira Thursday afternoon.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 4:00 p.m. near 280th Street and Goldfinch Avenue four-miles west of Exira.
The report says 18-year-old Brandon Thomas Harter, of Exira was traveling north on 280th Street approaching a slight curve to the west. Harter lost control on the gravel causing the vehicle to enter the west ditch. The 2002 Buick rolled landing on the driver’s side propped up against a small tree.
Harter and his passengers, 16-year-old Forest Debruin, of Exira and 17-year-old Sadie Rose Ryan, of Audubon were all transported to the Audubon County Memorial Hospital by Elk Horn Rescue.
The 2002 Buick owned by Bradley Weber, of Audubon was estimated at $6,500.00. Harter was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
