The latest youth drug use survey is out. There is some good news and some bad news according to Iowa Drug Policy Council Director Steve Lukan. He says what Iowa kids think about pot use is changing.
“There is a lessening of perceived harm, I would say, in regards to marijuana,” said Lukan. “More young people think it is a harmless drug and that is quite far from the truth. We have over 60 percent of our youth today who are in drug treatment are there for marijuana issues.”
Lukan says the good news is that meth use is down and so is the experimentation with prescription drugs.
