The leading economic indicators in the monthly business report put out by Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss shows a slight drop, but still pointing up for the next few months. Goss says he is noticing something he hadn’t expected, indications of deflation instead of inflation.
“Inflationary pressure is really coming down, of course that’s becoming more of a concern than a real positive,” said Goss. “If we did move into a deflationary pricing in the months ahead that would be a real problem for the economy that would really put a dent in the economic growth for the U.S.”
He says most people interviewed indicated they are already experiencing or will soon experience a drag caused by the implementation of Obama Care.
