(LENOX) A Lenox man pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery in connection with an investigation by the Lenox Police Department.
Charges were filed against 28 year old Ruben Serrano Rivera on March 7th after officers executed a search warrant at 601 S. Walnut Street in Lenox as part of an ongoing investigation into identity theft and forgery. During that search, authorities also located and seized 1.3 pounds of marijuana and several firearms.
The investigation also showed that Rivera was in the United States illegally. He has been turned over to federal authorities for deportation proceedings.
Meanwhile, authorities are searching for 45 year old Rosario Rivera, of Lenox, who is wanted on a number of warrants in connection with the same incident. Rivera failed to show for scheduled court appearances. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lenox Police Department at 641-333-2929.
