(Elk Horn) The Elk Horn-Kimballton School Board is expected to appoint a new Board member to fill the District One seat and elect a Vice-President during a Special Board meeting Tuesday.
Mark Smith, who was serving as the Elk Horn-Kimballton School Board President moved out of the northwest corner to the southeast corner of the district. The school board must now appoint someone to finish out Smith’s term.
Superintendent Dean Schnoes said the board is currently looking at passing a resolution to go away from district representation to all-at-large representatives with the possibility of re-organization with the Exira and Elk Horn-Kimballton School Districts. That decision will also be made at Tuesday’s meeting.
The board will also act on the approval June 25, special election date, senior graduation list, and Driver Education Teacher contracts.
