(Clarinda) Information on the April 14 accident has been released by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office that injured a Page County man.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office says a van driven by Joel Moses of Clarinda was northbound on Colt Avenue and approaching 295th Street when for some unknown reason it veered to the left and crossed the centerline and went into the ditch and struck a field drive causing it to launch into the air taking out a guide wire causing the utility pole to snap. The van came to rest with it’s front tires on the edge of 295th Street and the rear tires in the south ditch.
Moses was taken by Clarinda Medic One to Clarinda Regional Hospital. This case remains under investigation and alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by New Market Fire and Rescue, Clarinda Medic, Clarinda Fire, Clarinda Police, Taylor County Secondary Roads and United Electric.
